The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) officially released the SSC CHSL 2025 notification on its official website ssc.gov.in on June 23, 2025. This year’s notification offers 3,131 Group C vacancies, targeting posts such as Lower Divisional Administrative Assistant (LDC), Assistant Secretarial Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator (DEO).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (10+2) or equivalent as on January 1, 2026.

Application Process

  • Applications must be submitted online only at ssc.gov.in or through the MySSC mobile app on Google Play.
  • Fee: General category candidates will have to pay a fee of ₹100. Women candidates, SC/ST, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen are exempted.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process

The SSC CHSL consists of two levels:

  • Tier I (Computer-Based Test):
    • 100 multiple-choice questions on General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English.
    • 25 questions in each section, 2 marks each.
    • Duration: 60 minutes.
    • Negative marking: -0.5 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Tier II:
    • Descriptive test (paper-and-pencil mode).
    • Skill or typing test, depending on the post.
