Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (10+2) or equivalent as on January 1, 2026.
- Age Limit: 18-27 years (born between August 2, 1998, and August 1, 2007), with a reduction in the standard age for reserved categories.
Application Process
- Applications must be submitted online only at ssc.gov.in or through the MySSC mobile app on Google Play.
- Fee: General category candidates will have to pay a fee of ₹100. Women candidates, SC/ST, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen are exempted.
Exam Pattern and Selection Process
The SSC CHSL consists of two levels:
- Tier I (Computer-Based Test):
- 100 multiple-choice questions on General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English.
- 25 questions in each section, 2 marks each.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Negative marking: -0.5 marks for each wrong answer.
- Tier II:
- Descriptive test (paper-and-pencil mode).
- Skill or typing test, depending on the post.
